Xcode 11 and the hell trying to find the proper editor.

Alex Zavatone

Has anyone figured out how to display the previously easily accessible version editors in Xcode 11.3?

It used to be under the View menu and in the toolbar, yet now its location is a mystery lost in time.

The most important code Comparison view, the Authors view, the check-in Log view, where are they??????

The Xcode UI designers need to to spend less time on the crack pipe. This change is just a mess.

Best,

Command-option-shift-return, View->Show Code Review. Once there, you can use View->Inspectors or click the buttons at the top of the Inspector to show History to see the changelists for that file.

"Show code review" is available from the toolbar as well (the "double-arrow" icon).

The history/log is available whether or not a code review is showing - middle icon in the inspector pane or "View->Inspector->Show history" from the menubar.

The "Authors/Blame" view is also available from he menubar "Editor->Authos" or from the new icon in the jumpbar/file breadcrumb at the top of the editor (the one that looks like a series of lines).

All the above is available for any editor pane unlike previously where they only applied to the file in the LH pane.

Aha. It was also renamed to Code Review.

At least the command keys are the same. Thanks.
