Re: Time zone crap.

It seems that Namibia recently changed the timezone permanently (cfr. , sorry for the microsoft link 🙂).
I’m unsure what the timezone support on previous macOS version is, but on 10.13.6 is correctly at GMT+2 (as it seems it should do). May be you’re on a previous OS version (or not the latest patch level for the version you have) on Mac and iPad?

I’m in the deepest darkest jungles of ferocious downtown Africa at the moment (yeah, science) and if I‘m not smoking crack again, all of my business meetings are jacked up by an hour because something in the NSLocale or time zone management is off by an hour, but apparently all over Namibia and parts of South Africa.

This appears off on my Mac and on 1/2 of my iOS devices.

If I set my Mac to set date and time automatically, it sets the date and time to 1 hour earlier than it is.  Now, Apple sets it to 3:14PM when it’s really 4:14 PM.

I have to set the time manually because of this, but this throws off all of my appointments when I accept them through Apple Mail.  It’s been off like this since Doha and still is off all over Namibia and South Africa.

The odd thing is that my iPad also has this problem, but none of my iPhones (one with a US SIM card and one with a local Namibian SIM card) have this problem.  If I share the Internet connection from the iPhones, the Mac’s time is still incorrect when selecting the time zone automatically.

I don’t even have any idea how to go about debugging this.  Any ideas?
